What is Draft Room?

Draft Room automatically calculates the optimal allocation based on ranked preferences.

Organizers cannot see individual preferences or allocations beforehand. Results are revealed to everyone simultaneously at the scheduled time, ensuring a fair allocation.

Draft Allocation Rules

How the fair allocation algorithm works:

  1. 1. Priority on 1st Choices
Everyone's 1st choice is processed first. If demand exceeds capacity, a fair lottery determines the winner.
  2. 2. Rolling Allocations
Those who miss their 1st choice proceed to their 2nd choice. They are entered into the lottery for their 2nd choice only if slots remain. This repeats until everyone is assigned or choices are exhausted.
  3. 3. 'Yield to Others' Option
Participants can check "Yield to Others". In a tie-breaker, priority is given to those who did not check this box.
(e.g., Your 1st choice has lower priority than someone else's 1st choice, but higher priority than someone else's 2nd choice.)
  4. 4. Final Adjustment
Anyone unmatched after all preferences are processed will be randomly assigned to remaining slots.

*This transparent process eliminates manipulation and respects everyone's preferences as much as possible.

Cryptographically Secure Fairness

Powered by industry-standard CSPRNG algorithms to guarantee mathematical unpredictability. Even when preferences conflict, the tie-breaking lottery is strictly fair. Zero bias, zero manipulation.
